The Mission District abounds with coffee shops with their special roasts. Each one has their special attributes. One shop that stands out for us is Stanza on 16th at Valencia. They not only have coffee, they have art and outdoor seating with murals.

The entry, that faces south with the sunshine that goes with it, is a pleasant recessed seating area sided by two black and white pieces by Eon75.

The interior has plenty of seating with a changing art exhibit on the walls. There is free wifi. They sell pour over, french press, drip coffee and other specialty coffees and teas. Morning and afternoon pastry, breads and cookies are served all day.

There is a sunny back patio with heat lamps and a large wimsical bird by Southern California based Geoff Gouveria of Art of Wend.

If you have time before or after you relax over coffee wander over to Caledonia and Clarion Alleys that are within a block to discover the latest street art.
