Meet HoodLAB SF Art Gallery and HoodLamb Concept Store that opened earlier this month in the Upper Haight of San Francisco. HoodLAB SF is a multidimensional Showroom, Concept Store and purveyor for Amsterdam clothing label HoodLamb. It is their second location in the United States, following the flagship store in Denver.
This store not only features the newest in contemporary Hemp Clothing, but it will also host a monthly art-show of both artists known and emerging. Each month HoodLAB SF will be showcasing elite international artists, bringing with them their innovative and diverse works of art.
This month’s art show is named: Tres Hermanos: A Collection of Work by Brudder from Different Udders. And will feature the art of Sam Flores, N8 VanDyke & Joseph Martinez. The gallery showing will be held from 6-10pm at 1669 Haight Street in San Francisco with a VIP after party held at a nearby location.
HoodLamb is a clothing brand that is based in Amsterdam and was established there in 1993. They have been ahead of the curve promoting a sustainable life with Hemp at the core. Their apparel is timeless and innovative and for every new collection HoodLamb works together with guest designers to create unique pieces and prints. Progress is a key-element of the HoodLamb philosophy and each new season HoodLamb features new developments within eco-technology, functionality and sustainability.
The main aim of HoodLamb is to demonstrate that a solution for sustainable living can be found in Hemp. Hemp is one of the most eco-friendly fibers in the world; it requires no pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers to grow, returns nutrients to the soil and is very fast-growing and resource-efficient. Supporting the good cause is also important to us and since 2009 HoodLamb has a close friendship with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (from: Animal Planet’s reality show Whale Wars!). Sea Shepherd is an international non-profit wildlife conservation organization with a mission to end destruction of marine habitat and unnecessary slaughter of wildlife in the oceans.
HoodLAB is proud to present the new HoodLamb Fall/ Winter 13/14 line including some very unique pieces designed exclusively for HoodLAB SF. They live by the motto “inspire to create”, which is why they have worked side by side with two of San Francisco’s most premier artists, Sam Flores and Jeremy Fish, to create limited edition HoodLamb art jackets and other apparel. These jackets are exclusive to only the HoodLAB San Francisco location and the Estore connected to it. The HoodLamb Art Jackets are a very limited edition run so they will not be available for purchase after the 2013/2014 season.
