1 A.M. has a fantastic exhibit of Mark Bode’s work shown along some of his father, Vaughn Bode’s work. If you get a chance, check it out. The exhibit runs through July 31st, 2010. Several graffiti artist have paid homage to Bode’s work a block down from the gallery on 6th and Folsom.

Vaughn Bode was a cartoonist and New York Subway train artist known for his signature lizard character which many graffiti artist knock off today. The gallery has some of his clay molds on display that he used to figure out shadows for his graffiti characters. Mark Bode is a tattoo artist and comic book author known the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
