Strider has taken action and hijacked some advertising space around San Francisco. Much of it is no longer up. For one week he was part of a global effort orchestrated by Subvertisers Collective to manipulate or take down ads and replace them with calls for action to question what you think should be in your neighborhood and join in the movement to be rid of it.
In San Francisco we not only have obnoxious corporate billboards ads there are also offensive non-profit banners blanketing our shopping streets. All are forms of advertising with the only difference being that one is paying income taxes and the other isn’t. All need to go.
Strider has an art residency at the Tech Shop where he will be having his first exhibition called Heuristic Forms for 1 week-end opening THUR APRIL 6 through Sat.
