Join VAMP music • art • consignment and LeQuiVive Gallery as we welcome Tristan Arcelona as September’s featured artist!
Tristan Arcelona was born and raised in San Francisco. After attending catholic high school in the city, Tristan moved to Long Beach, CA to study art at Cal State Long Beach. Tristan completed his BA at San Francisco State University in the printmaking department. Tristan now resides in the Excelsior district of the city and works as a pizza delivery person to make ends meet. Tristan’s work is inspired by dreams he has, scenery and life in San Francisco, and the peaks and drudgery that come with living in an urban setting. His work deals with the line between desires and reality and the coping imagery that the mind creates to deal with this difference.

You might have caught his recent show at the San Franpsycho galleries. Looks like we’ll be getting lots of new pieces for this show. We are looking forward to the opening!
In addition to this, we will be graced by the musical stylings of the LOWER BOTTOMS FUNK & SOUL crew! Come check out what these guys have got to offer…hard hitting soul & funk, disco, boogie, afro-funk..If you like to shake yer bootay, be sure to check out this crew! Friday night will be a showcase for their First Saturday party out in the Lower Bottoms, Revolution Cafe on 7th St, just a few blocks from the West Oakland BART station. A not to be missed party!
