Swing by on First Friday, May 6th, as you art walk through North Beach and enjoy the newest body of work by local artist O.Truax, accompanied by the music performance of Counterpoint A Cappella.

Bay Area native O.Truax fuses repurposed canvas with layers of textured acrylic paint to create works that express the beauty of the female figure both physically and symbolically. In this series O.Truax focuses on portraiture utilizing a blue color palatte; this monochrome choice inserts vibrant yet tranquil elements in each piece.

Counterpoint A Cappella is one of the oldest a cappella groups at Stanford and its first all-female group. Counterpoint has been featured on both Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) and Voices Only compilations. They are recognized both on and off campus for their original arrangements and a great sense of humor.
