Ever looked at the street art on Sycamore at Mission Street? There has been a lot of awesome art on that corner by Banksy, Zio Ziegler, Ian Ross, Eon 75, Jae54, Anson, Never to name a few. Behind all that street art is the place that makes it happen, The Sycamore. They are a bar restaurant. Just enter their door on the corner and you will discover more art inside along with a sunny patio where you can meet your friends for a drink and bite to eat. They serve up a variety of food that is made from fresh organic ingredients. Every weekday they serve a different lunch special. On Saturday and Sunday they open earlier to serve an enticing brunch menu that includes pork belly donuts,egg dishes and bottomless mimosas along with their daily salads, sliders, appetizers and sandwiches. They are open daily from 11:30AM to midnight.
The art in the front room is usually by a local artist and for sale. If you follow The Sycamore on Facebook you can see they have some ongoing events like Monday Pub Quiz, Tuesday Ladies’ Night and Wednesday Bingo Night.
The back patio has a fun mural by artist Paul Hayes.
