“VTS is for the Children”
New Works by REMIO
Known for his playful handstyles, throwups, and iconic “R” character, REMIO is a founding member of the VTS graffiti crew, as well as a regular contributor to the seminal THR and VLOK crews. Recently REMIO has transitioned from painting almost exclusively outside in the street to the staid gallery world, both nationally and internationally, bringing his unique vision to the larger art community. In this new show, titled “VTS is for the Children”, the artist goes back to basics with a classic collection of drawings on the US Postal Service Priority Mail Stickers, a staple in the American Graffiti Subculture.
