Veneration

We welcome back California artist David Young V as he brings us a new exhibition of mixed media pieces titled Veneration for his 1xRUN solo debut. David Young V recently teamed up with artists Eddie Colla and Hugh Leeman for Epilogue.

“For my latest pieces I really wanted to add a 3D element to my world and create works that were less a representation of my world, but rather an object taken from it. Much like taking an object represented in a painting or a film and displaying it in real life. With the fire arms Each of these is a replica firearm painted with One Shot sign paint and cell vinyl. For each of the wood cut pieces I wanted to take the more iconic looking images from my work–nun and skull– and display them in a sort of 2D/3D way. They were created using Ink, acrylic paint, coffee, paper on wood, photocopied original images. ” – David Young V
