42° arts agency is pleased to present: PROJECT°901
42° arts agency, in partnership with Hudson Pacific Properties, is pleased to present the first in an ongoing project of local art installations. The series, called Project°901, will further the beautification of the Mid-Market corridor and engage the passersby through a rotating series of window art installations by emerging and established Bay Area artists. The ground level display windows are located in the historic 901 Market Street building, and are visible on 5th Street between Market and Stevenson Streets.
The first installment for Project°901 will be done by SF-based street artist, Ricardo Richey, known as APEX. His installations (Untitled 1 & 2) will be two large-scale pieces of spray painted mirrors. The color and form of the design will invite those on the bustling street to engage, and actively or passively integrate into the pieces by contributing their obscured reflection from the mirrors.
APEX has garnered much attention throughout the Bay Area and abroad, and has been commissioned by clients including Outside Lands, Spotify, the Puma lounge at the America’s Cup, Scion, Red Bull, Zynga, GoDaddy, and Starbucks. http://42degrees-sf.com/portfolio/ricardo-richey/
APEX will be in attendance for the unveiling and windowside-chat on Thursday, January 15th at 6:30pm. The artwork will be on view street side 24/7 through March 2015.
