Michael Page (b.1979) lives and works as a full time artist in San Francisco, CA. He has shown his work nationally and internationally throughout both Europe and the United States including the cities of Reykjavik, Berlin, Bristol , Rome and Montreal.GABRIELA COBAR
Born in San Francisco to South American parents, Gabriela received her BFA from California College of the Arts in the winter of 2012. She paints portraits that depict nearly still figures submerged within a destabilized landscape. Her paintings grasp on what is in constant movement and change in an over stimulated environment. In her process of deconstructing and repainting, layers of previous paintings are still present to create figures that fall apart and become a part of a landscape. With the use of sludgy mark-making in contrast with sharp geometric shapes, the artist is interested in the convergence of opposites where movement and stillness can exist concurrently. She aims to capture an amplified state where chaos is at a temporary stop and where a fractured figure is disengaged yet present.
