ABOUT NEW SKOOL:
New Skool is about the culture of Hip Hop. We use our graffiti esthetic and sense of design to redefine the meaning of fresh kids clothing. We want to sell but not sell out.
We design kids and adult clothing for the Hip Hop minded. Our style is based on the elements of Hip Hop especially the visual side of Hip Hop, Graffiti Writing!
We don’t do things like most companies. New Skool plans on growth for itself, but we guarantee freshness from design to fit to quality to realness. More styles, more accessories–we have a lot in the works. Stay tuned!
New Skool is owned and designed by Bay Area Designer and Graffiti Artist Nate1 MPC. Under the Nate1Design umbrella, New Skool is the “baby” starting from his garage in San Francisco in 2003. Nate1 designs for his friends and peers who have kids, grew up with Hip Hop, and want their kids to look fresh dressed like a million bucks…
Nate1 started his Hip Hop career in 1987 by co-founding the West Coast Chapter of Master Piece Creators, with Omen2. MPC was an influential crew in San Francisco and Daly City. Known for huge murals, carrying on tradition, and letter mastery, MPC Respects the Culture and gets shown ‘nuff Respect.
This skool of hard knocks mixed with a 10 year design stint in SF makes Nate1’s designs unique and frickin’ hot! Becoming a father put the final perspective on New Skool being able to design from a parent’s view as well.
Nate1 lives and works in San Francisco with his wife and 2 kids. He is often listening to and making beats, painting canvases, and designing the latest New Skool line all at once!
