Justin BUA One Day Appearance

World-renowned artist, author and performer, Justin BUA, will be making a one-day appearance at 111 Minna Gallery on Saturday, August 27th, from 12pm-5pm At this “pop-up shop” experience, BUA will showcase prints of some of his most iconic works, such as “The DJ”, “1981” and “Piano Man”. Since BUA is an artist of the people, by the people and for the people, all of the works for sale at this event will be discounted. In addition BUA will give some of his prints away for FREE. As the artist explains,
“I have always believed that incredible art should not only be admired and appreciated, but obtainable for all…What better way to spread the word about art than to give it away?”
In this pop-up, BUA will create a fun, visually engaging exhibition that will lead the viewer through his classic early works, to his Legends of Hip Hop series to his most recent character studies and cityscapes. BUA began his artistic career on the untamed streets of New York City’s Upper West Side. Fascinated by the raw, visceral street life of Manhattan, BUA used his art as a tool to capture and synthesize the urban culture that surrounded him. He currently lives in Los Angeles and, in addition to working on his fine art, has authored several books, regularly appears on television as a guest performer, artist and expert, lectures worldwide, and is a member of the prestigious United States Stamp Committee.
