Lacey Bryant is one of the hardest working women in art and she is based out of San Jose, California. If she’s not creating at theme parks like Great America. Painting set designs or collaborating with partners of The Commons. A movement bridging classical performing arts with contemporary culture.
Her work has been featured through out the city on Art Boxes, crosswalks, and usually jumps in to save a few artists from tons of labor, with her effective contributions. Lacey lend some bristle techniques for Good Karma’ recently painted facade with artist friend Ben Henderson. We personally enjoyed working with her on the Hotel De Anza, a project for the Exhibition District summer 2016. Lacey is a wonderful soul and her spirit casts over the city influencing and setting a bar for artists in the South Bay.
Lacey has featured at several galleries up and down the west coast, including Anno Domini in San Jose back in 2012, Titled Tenuous Threads
“Home is something that we often have to go out in search of, a place of one’s own. It can be a memory of a time past or a dream of the future. Home does not always mean house. In these works I wanted to focus on some of the intangible things that relate to the idea of home using imagery from my home, the neighborhood I live in now and the wider area. Small incongruous objects suggest deeper narratives in moody vignettes and dreamy figures half appear. ”
Come to the opening of “Homeward” Friday, November 11 from 7-10pm.
Exhibit will be on view November 11 – December 2, 2016
