Cindy Tomczyck (www.cindytomczyk.com/portfolio/)
Thomas Carrieri (www.guerrillagarage.virb.com/the-art-of-cthomas2)

Ben Seevers (www.sessionspace.blogspot.com )
Pelham Houchin III (http://pelham3.com/paintings.html)
Fleur Spolidor (www.sites.google.com/site/artifleur/)
Todd Lanam (http://toddlanam.com/)

Live Music by “The Ether Staircase” (www.caverecordings.blogspot.com)

This show really is an exercise in building and cultivating our community. It’s amazing when you provide an open, welcoming place for something great to happen, the end result is even more amazing than you ever imagined it could be. With this First Friday, we said the words “group show” and out of the woodwork came passionate, enthusiastic people just making it happen. This is what The Shop is about. This is why we are doing this.

Come help us build our community by coming out for an evening of local art, food, and music!

“It takes a village to raise a child.” —African Proverb

“Some people think they are in community, but they are only in proximity. True community requires commitment and openness. It is a willingness to extend yourself to encounter and know the other.”
—David Spangler

“The process of really being with other people in a safe, supportive situation can actually change who we think we are. . . . And as we grow closer to the essence of who we are, we tend to take more responsibility for our neighbors and our planet.”
—Bill Kauth
