#SFPublicCanvas, in collaboration with Larkin Street Youth Services and ArtSpan, present the #SFPublicCanvas Community Arts Workshop at the Tenderloin Museum. #SFPublicCanvas, a public art project featuring projection mapping and vertical dance, is seeking art submissions from the public addressing the cultural and financial shifts taking place in the Mid-Market/Tenderloin area and the city at large.

Project organizers are holding a competition awarding cash prizes for the best written submission, best still image, and best moving image. Many submissions will also be integrated into a work of video projection art to be used in the #SFPublicCanvas performance event taking place in June, 2016.

The Community Arts Workshop is chance to learn about #SFPublicCanvas, discuss the past, present, and future of San Francisco, and create art to share your thoughts, ideas, and hopes about the changing face of our city. Art supplies will be provided at several different “art stations” throughout the room, so come get creative and lend your voice to our one-of-a-kind public art project. Some participants may even win cash prizes after the March 15 deadline!
