It’s built! Come visit our CAN’t Be Hungry “Bottomless Potamus” Hippo THIS WEEK ONLY at Rincon Center! Gensler teamed with Arup, Webcor and Riverbed to stack 4,740 cans of tuna, peanut butter, and tomato sauce. Sure it’s an odd meal, but it’s protein packed and the hippo’s open mouth reaches 4’ high and cantilevers 2’ out. Plus, our team’s fundraising and purchasing negotiations were so strong that we lent $1,500 to another team that struggled to raise enough money and almost dropped out. We’re all about teamwork for a good cause.
Gensler was one of 9 teams participating in this event. They as well as 8 other architectural firms built fun sculptures with donated cans. The food and funds from this event benefits the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks.
