The loin is proud to present ‘Akruva’, a collection of new works by Tenderloin based artist D Young V. the loin will be converted into a massive wall to wall installation presenting his latest mixed media works. Departing from his standard blue/process cyan color palette, Young will be exploring new colors and compositional elements previously unseen in his traditional style.
‘Akruva’ (literally translating to ‘new world’) is the name given to his iconic ‘ Nun of War’ images seen throughout San Francisco. Most of the works displayed will present the many variations of Akruva, which will be the central focus of the compositional elements of the installation.
Additionally, the loin will be collaborating with Young, utilizing his iconic imagery in various forms on T-shirts, patches and limited edition prints. We will be live screen printing the edition of prints on opening night.
