ABSOLUT Open Canvas is a free outdoor interactive art exhibition, empowering celebrated emerging artists and the public to transform the entire street block of Divisadero Street (between Hayes and Grove) in San Francisco.

Starting Saturday, August 24, the street block begins its transformation, with artists working outside to showcase their artwork, while visitors [the general public] can experience the creative process in motion. From building facades to flower pots, cars and fences, local artists and more than 15 featured artists will transform one street from the ordinary into an extraordinary aesthetic experience. By Sunday evening – August 25th – the transformation will be near complete and on display for an entire week.

A few local artists include Michael Krouse (http://michaelkrouse.com/) and Mat O’Brien (http://www.eleanorharwood.com/Eleanor_Harwood_Gallery/Mat_OBrien.html), I will be able to share other names with you this week. Additional artists include; OLEK, Daniel Arnold, Michael Krouse and Henry Taylor.
