MUNI Art 2018 Kick-Off & Info Session

Learn how to apply for San Francisco Beautiful’s MUNI Art 2018 project at FLAX art & design in Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The MUNI art project aims to transform MUNI buses into art galleries. The San Francisco Beautiful team is bringing artist’s proposal applications and plans to explain the application process and answer questions. The 2017 MUNI Artists are also on-hand to demonstrate their creative processes and share their experiences with being MUNI Art artists.
The 2017 MUNI Art project ran from January through April 2017 and doubled the number of buses displaying art to 100. View the work of the 2017 MUNI artists here. Please RSVP in advance.

Hello everyone, we are excited for you to join us on April 30th! We’ve received a few questions about how the poetry will work. This call for artists is strictly for the visual component of the program. Five preselected poems will be provided by the Poetry Society of America (sponsors of Poetry in Motion). More details will be announced on the 30th.

About Muni Art
In 2018, Muni Art celebrates it’s third amazing year by adding five poets! Yes, this year San Francisco Beautiful, the SFMTA and Supervisor London Breed, transform ordinary buses into art galleries and for the first time local poets will be included.
