1996 to 2016, Twenty Years of Visionary Arts
Twenty years ago, a group of residents
began to fulfill a vision of using art to redevelop their community. Since then, Art Works Downtown has grown to become a thriving cultural staple that contributes inspiration to the lives of countless people in downtown San Rafael and beyond. To honor the past twenty years and to herald new visions for the future, Art Works Downtown invites you to celebrate our 20th year of connecting art with the community. It’s time for a party!
Join us on September 24th to enjoy live music by headliner Danny Click and the Hell Yeahs!, guests Jerry Hannan and Shana Morrison, plus piano by Jeff Castro; booths featuring delicious food from local eateries; festive libations; art exhibitions; and interactive artist demonstrations throughout the entire the Art Works Downtown art center.
